Kenmure Newcomers & Neighbors

Join us as we celebrate the art of making friends in our beautiful mountain community.

Our purpose is to introduce you to both new and existing residents through participation in a comprehensive selection of social activities. Most of our activity groups are small and meet in each other’s homes.  A sampling includes card games such as bridge, dining get-togethers, book club and wine tasting.

There is no limit on the time you may remain a member. This allows you to meet people who have lived here many years as well as those who are new to our community.  You just need to be a resident or renter in Kenmure or its sister development, Berwick Downs!

How it works

There are three rotations per year: FebMay, JuneSeptember and OctoberJanuary. Sign-up notices go out about six weeks before the beginning of each rotation. You then elect the activities that interest you for that period. In some activities, the participants take turns hosting each month. For example, Dining Out, the host selects a restaurant, contacts other group members for a mutually agreeable date and the group meets at the host’s home for hors d'oeuvres before going out for dinner.

Eligibility & Membership Requirements

All Kenmure property owners are eligible to join Kenmure Newcomers & Neighbors (KNN).

We are a separate organization, but in a spirit of co-operation, Kenmure Country Club (KCC) membership (social, sports or golf) is required after one year for those desiring to remain in KNN. If you are not currently a member of KCC, you can have an entire year in Newcomers & Neighbors before you make the decision about joining the club. Once you join KCC, you may remain in Newcomers & Neighbors indefinitely, expanding opportunities to meet and get together with your neighbors in our delightful and friendly community as long as you also maintain your Club membership.
