"America's 250th Celebration"

Pendergrast Family Patriotic Pops!

Brevard Music Center, Saturday July 4th

You are invited to join fellow Arts & Adventurers to celebrate our country's 250th Independence Day with Patriotic Pops at the Brevard Music Center.  Hear the BMC Orchestra and Concert Band perform inspirational American music, traditional Sousa marches, and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture complete with the sounds of live cannon.

Situated on a lovely wooded 180-acre campus, Brevard Music Center stands as one of this country's premier summer training programs and festivals. Each summer 500 gifted students (ages 14 through post-college) come to the Music Center to study and perform with distinguished faculty and renowned guest artists.

The BMC's July 4th Pendergrast Family Patriotic Pops! program begins at 2 PM and runs for two hours.  The program, full of traditional patriotic favorites, will be presented in the open-air Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium.  Our group will enjoy the concert from reserved seats. The Pops will include:

CHARLES IVES Variations on “America”
JOHN WILLIAMS “Flying Theme” from E.T.
JOHN WILLIAMS “Imperial March” from Star Wars
PYOTR ILYICH TCHAIKOVSKY 1812 Overture
SOUSA Stars and Stripes Forever
